Baptismal 1999
Wood, polyester resin, gel coat, water, inkjet prints, zip-loc bags, ink drawings, wire, clothespins, fan.
Baptismal is an attempt to elaborate personal notions of theology.
A vessel filled with tap water and images of myself, naked, superimposed onto historical places and events, sits quietly.
In the background ink calligraphic drawings hang using wire and are brushed by a fan- mimicking flags in the wind fluttering.
Place and time fold in on themselves.
